"Awesome project!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Hello! It has been awhile, and I have some outstanding projects to show you all.  As you know we have been studying Ancient Greece.  I posted a project way back before all the snow days and the students were so excited!

"Awesome project!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" -Sage

"I got more in to Greece and its wow"  -Carly

"ancient Greece is awesome" - Nic

"most awesome project EVER!!!!" -Grace

"alot of fun thanks mr.ridgley" -Maryam

"I looooovvvvvveeeeeee this project 😊😀😄😊😍😊😌😄😀" -Claire

"super fun! thx Mrs.Ridgly" Caroline

These comments along with 24 others made my heart melt! What teacher would not want to hear so many enthusiastic thoughts about an assignment? They had a great time researching and learning about the contributions of Greece.

ALL the projects completed were impressive! Here are just a few peeks!

Remember to check Google Classroom to see your child's projects!

 Have a safe, warm weekend!

New Year Goals

Welcome back! This week we discussed a lot about goals. We thought of goals for school, home, health, and friendships. I always stress to them that they should try their best and if they are doing the best the can, I will always be happy with them. I think some of the kids were very had on themselves and set really high expectations. I tried to talk to all of them about setting realistic goals. After we brainstormed as a class, we set out to create our own. Students wrote thier goals and then published them to Chatterpix. They had a great time doing it and it allowed us to get some artwork in as well!

Don't Forget!

We live in a world surrounded by technology. And we know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly hinge on understanding how technology works. But only a tiny fraction of us are learning computer science, and less students are studying it than a decade ago.

That’s why our entire school is joining in on the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code, during Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 7-13). More than 100 million students worldwide have already tried an Hour of Code.
See http://hourofcode.com/in for details, and help spread the word.

And..........

We went to see James and the Giant Peach this week and it was such a great play! I saw students at the edge of their seats, heard them laugh out loud, and were beaming with excitement as we left the show!
If you have a chance to see it this weekend you should go! Lucas and I will be going on Saturday!

They had so much fun!!!
