:
This little, happy, morning person is who started my Dr. Seuss Celebration out with a bang! Doesn't he look so seustastic in his Seuse shirt?
As the little cutie pies came in with their presh pajamas, I had this book playing.
Later on in the day we made some Horton Oragami.
We then read this book:
and made green eggs and ham!!! I had a few who refused to eat it. All but 1 actually tried and liked them. The had to predict if they thought they would like them, then write if they did like them or not and write what they learned from the experience. Jackson and Nora let me know that they needed salt. hehe =)
During the whole day the kids were putting seuss book stickers in their Read Across America Passport. It looks like this: When they read or listened to a book they were to cut the pic out and past it in their passport. =)
I bought some apps for the I pad so some listed to some stories on it. Super COOL apps!
A few brought their own devices in and read on them.
I had some of the books playing on our computers!
Next we read this book:
and made these hats!
And this cake!!
They ate it right up!
Lastly, we discussed (ran out of time, such a long story) this book:
and made Oobleck!!!! They had to see if a few items would sink or float and of course play!
Is it a solid or a liquid??
I think all in all they all had a great time!!!
